"...given the calibre of courses on offer – this might just be the best-value golf destination around."

- Steve Keipert, Editor Australian Golf Digest, May 2009

We are justifiably proud of our championship golf course here at the Tura Beach Country Club.

Tura Beach Country Club rated 74 in the list of top 100 public access courses in AustraliaThe 18 hole course was opened in 1982 by its designers Peter Thomson and Mike Woolveridge.  Since that time it has matured into a picturesque and challenging course for golfers of all levels.

In February 2011 the course was rated number 74 in the list of top 100 public access courses in Australia published by Golf Australia Magazine.

Bermagui and Pambula-Merimbula also made the top 100 list, making the Far South Coast of New South Wales an exceptional golfing destination.

The testing layout includes hills and flats, forest and ti-tree, with water in play on a number of holes.

In the May 2009 issue of Australian Golf Digest, the editor rated Tura Beach as the best course on the Sapphire Coast:

"It’s a close contest, but this is the pick of the Sapphire Coast’s
golf courses. The mix of holes and constructive use of the undulating
terrain in the design are excellent."

The course was also listed in the July 2009 edition of Golf Australia magazine as being one of "the best 50 courses you can play for $50 or less".

The course is currently in tremendous condition, thanks to recent rain and the excellent work of our head greenkeeper, Aaron Miller, and his team.  Aaron's work was instrumental in Tura Beach regaining its position in the top 100 public access courses in Australia.

See the Course Tour for more information about our excellent layout, or go to the Sporting Clubs site for information about golf fixtures and results.
